The Scorpions Volleyball Competitive Beach Duos Program started out the 1st weekend of the Ontario Volleyball Association weekend with gold medals in boys and girls competitive beach 13u age category. The tournaments were held in Kitchener and Waterloo, Ontario.
On Saturday at Shark Sports Co. in New Dundee Sand Courts, Scorpion’s 13u Noah Becker and his partner Nolan Bedford had a hard fought battle to claim the gold medal. Then on Sunday at Market Sports in Waterloo, Scorpions Lily Fernandes and Charlotte Quach won a gold medal in the 13u premier division. Big shout out to Scorpions Inferno player Payton Charbonneau, who with her partner, won a Gold medal in a 16U Premier tournament the same weekend. The Scorpions Volleyball Club is proud to announce Monday nights free community programming in June in Ayr.
The Scorpions Club currently offers their popular Youth beach programs for Grade 3-12 on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and their Adult Recreational League on Thursday nights. Starting in June for 4 weeks they will pilot a new program of FREE volleyball for the community. It consists of: 6-7pm - Family Drop-In 7-8pm - Adult Lessons 8-9pm - Adult Drop-In There is no registration required for the drop-in programs. The adult lessons does require pre-registration so we can ensure adequate staffing.
