SCORPIONS 2025 Competitive Beach Volleyball Tournaments 

We are excited for the upcoming 2025 Tournament Season. They are open to any residents of Canada or the USA. They are all held at Emerald Lake Waterpark, Campground. 15 minutes east of Cambridge, ON. We are hosting the following tournament and formats. T
  • Competitive Duos
  • Competitive Fours - Boys and Girls 12u-14u, 15u-18u Mixed (14u and up separate mixed, male and female divisions)
  • COST - 2 on 2 tournament is $85. per duo, 4 on 4 is $130. per foursome.
  • Emerald Lake has a flat $15.00 per car fee to enter the park before 9:00am for tournament participants. 
  • - NEW - 2024 Adult tournament with Prize Money

CONCUSSION SAFETY

Rowan’s Law (Concussion Safety), 2018 states that prior to registration with any sport organization all individuals must review the applicable concussion awareness resource. Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club will ensure these documents are sent to all tournament participants.

HEAT HAZARDS AWARENESS

Heat Hazards - We want you to be aware of the hazards relating to heat. Here is a government factsheet on the issue.

Scorpions Prevention of Heat Related Illness

An extreme heat policy may be activated based on the current weather conditions. In the event the
humidex reaches or exceeds 40 degrees and Environment Canada indicates a humidex warning, teams
will be permitted the following:
  • Earlier check in 8:00am-8:30am to get the games going as it promises to be a hot day. 
  • We encourage everyone to bring adequate hydration, including electrolyte and salt replacement drinks, sun screen, tents, any type of socks has the sand will be hot, visors, sunglasses.
  • We will take more breaks and allow drinks near the courts.
  • We also, if necessary, will reduce playoff rounds to 15 point in cases of extreme heat
  • We have permission from Emerald Lake to use their Sprinklers in the Splash Pad to help the athletes cool down.​
