The Scorpions Beach Volleyball Competitive duos won an amazing 44 medals on the Ontario Volleyball Association Beach Tour in the summer of 2016.

Scorpion duos won medals in Windsor, Port Stanley, Grand Bend, Emerald Lake, Ashbridge Bay (Toronto), Cobourg, Oakville, Stratford and Ottawa.

They received 22 GOLD, 21 SILVER and 1 BRONZE medal to finish off a record breaking year for the club.

Paul Langan, club founder states, " I am so proud of all our beach volleyball  athletes regardless of if they won a medal or not. A big thank you must go out to our strong beach coaching staff which included, Head Coach Janet Cobbs Mulholland, Tom Podstawka, Vaughan McMillan, Tracy Liburd, Kayla Ng, Fiodar Kazhamiaka and our "Commit To Beach" leader Katie Langan."

The regular beach season is complete. Now it is the provincial and national championships in Toronto. Several Scorpion duos are entering those tournaments.

The Scorpions coaching staff will be out in full force representing the OVA Region 3 at the upcoming Ontario Summer Games.

Tom Podstawka - Scorpions Coach and ex National Team Beach Player will be coaching the Region 3 female beach duos. 

Katie Langan - Scorpions Commit to Beach Program Coach and Madawaska Beach Camp Coach is the Apprentice Beach Coach for Region 3 female athletes.

Vaughan McMillan -Former Brock University Coach and 3 year Scorpions Beach Coach will be coaching the Region 3 Boys duos.

The Ontario Summer Games are held in Mississauga Ontario August 11th-14th. 2016
