The Scorpions are announcing today they are limited spots available for their first competitive beach duos tournament at Emerald Lake  Waterpark, June 10th and 11th 2023.

The Scorpions are entering their 11th year of hosting beach volleyball tournaments in Ontario. It is available for youth ages 11u-118u. The format for most of the tournaments are 2 on 2. However this year they are adding two  tournaments that are 4 on 4 mixed format for the same age groups.

The season opener at Emerald Lake is 2 on 2 format. Emerald Lake is located 15 minutes east of Cambridge, Ontario. It is beautifully located next to waterpark. The 12 courts feature Olympic quality sand.

The age groups are:
June 10th - 14u and 16u
June 11th - 11u/12u.13u,15u,17u/18u

For immediate.....May 15th, 2023.... The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club, Cambridge, Ontario has been hosting youth beach volleyball tournaments for 11 years.

On April 13th, they announced their beach tournament schedule. Due to popular demand the club will be further increasing the number of tournaments they hold. The tournaments are held at beautiful Emerald Lake Waterpark, 15 minutes east of Cambridge, Ontario.

The format of the tournaments are:
2 on 2 competitive duos - Ages 11u to 18u - boys and girls divisions
4 on 4 teams format- Ages from 11u to 18u - boys, girls and co-ed divisions

The complete dates of tournaments are: (All 2 on 2 format unless noted)

JUNE 10th SATURDAY - 14u and 16u
JUNE 11th SUNDAY - 11u/12u,13u,15u,17u/18u 
JUNE 17th - 11u,12u-13u-14u-15u-16u-17u-18u,
JUNE 24th - 11u,12u-13u-14u-15u-16u-17u-18u,
JUNE 25th (4 on 4 format- ALL ages)
JULY 8th  - 14u and 16u
JULY 9th - 11u/12u,13u,15u,17u/18u 
JULY 22nd - 11u,12u-13u-14u-15u-16u-17u-18u,
JULY 29th Championships- 14u and 16u
JULY 30th Championships 11u/12u,13u,15u,17u/18u 
AUGUST 5th - JUNE 25th ( New 4 on 4 format- ALL ages)

Duos who have already registered will be notified of the changes.

Paul Langan, Scorpions Beach Program Coordinator states, " We are not only returning to our pre-pandemic levels but we are exceeding it, Our 2 on 2 registration is strong and youth are excited about our 4 on 4 competitive teams format for beach volleyball also. We have over a decade of hosting tournaments at one of the most fun locations in Ontario at Emerald Lake. We are happy to be able to expand our tournament hosting this year to meet the needs."
