Sydney Hendershott Selected for the 2017 Team Ontario 16U Beach Program

Scorpion's  Sydney Hendershott from Brantford has been selected to be part of the 2017 Team Ontario 16U Beach Program.

Press Release...2017-06-08...Waterloo Region.... The Scorpions Volleyball Club is very pleased to announce that 15U player Sydney Hendershott has made the 2017 Team Ontario 16U Beach Program.

Team Ontario programs are designed to identify and expose athletes to the beach high performance training environment. The objective is to create stepping stones towards future international and national team success.

 Sydney Hendershott plays also on the Scorpions 15U Fuzion indoor team, In addition to making the 16U Ontario Beach team, she has also been selected to train with the 18U team Ontario group as well.

Sydney was also identified for the indoor high performance centre at Nipissing University this summer with the OVA in hopes to make the team Ontario indoor team as well.

Paul Langan, founder of Scorpions Volleyball states, "We know and appreciate the hard work it takes to play at the provincial level. I have no doubt that Sydney will be successful in reaching her beach and indoor volleyball provincial goals."

The Scorpions Beach Volleyball Program has over 250 youth in their Learn to Play program and 44 competitive duos playing on the beach tour.
