Congrats to Scorpions Duos for winning two GOLD medals at the beach volleyball tournament at Cobourg June 13th, 2015. They are:

• 15U Championship Division GOld Medalist Rachel Maier and Lauren Reycraft
• 15U Challenger Division Gold Medalist Brianne Banderob and Liana Roller

The Scorpions Youth Beach Volleyball Club of Cambridge, ON won 10 medals in one weekend at beach volleyball tournaments at Ashbridge Bay, Toronto and Emerald Lake, ON.

WireService.ca Press Release (06/08/2015) Cambridge, Ontario - The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club won an unprecedented 10 beach volleyball medals in one weekend on June 7th and 8th, 2015.

The Scorpions Beach Volleyball Club consists of learn to play, house league, camps and competitive programs. It has one of the largest beach volleyball programs for youth in Canada. The club has 40 duos playing on the beach tour this summer in Ontario and also in the USA.

This past weekend there were tournaments at Ashbridge Bay in Toronto and also in Emerald Lake, located near Cambridge ON.

The medal winners included:

• 12U Silver Medal Premier Division -Emerald Lake  - Lily Corkill & Hanna Chambers
• 13U Gold Medal  Championship Division - Ashbridge Bay Toronto - Lauren Letoile & Sydney Hendershott
• 13u Silver Medal  Championship Division - Emerald Lake - Emily Anderson and Brookelynn MacPherson
• 14U Gold Medal  Trillium Division – Ashbridge Bay - Olivia Benzin and Sarah Dyer
• 15U Gold Medal  Premier Division – Emerald Lake - Maddi Mulholland & Elyssa Trotter
• 15U Silver Medal  Premier Division – Emerald Lake – Tove Petersen & R. Melnik
• 15U Silver Medal Championship Division - Emerald Lake - 15U Sierra Schmidt & Kaitlin Miller
• 15U Gold Medal Trillium Division – Ashbridge Bay Toronto - 15U Sierra Schmidt & Kaitlin Miller
• Adult Elite Male – Ashbridge Bay Toronto - 1st place - Tom Podstawka & Pavel Rotrekl
• 2nd place – Paul Podstawka and Fiodar Kazhamiaka

It is important to note also that the Scorpions 16U duo of Kayla Gallant and Jenna Banz finished in 4th place in the 18U Qualifiers to represent Canada at NORCEA on the same weekend.
