WireService.ca Press Release (07/27/2015) Cambridge, ON - Eight competitive youth beach volleyball duos for the Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club won medals in one weekend on July 25-26th, 2015. The Scorpions Beach Volleyball Club consists of learn to play, house league, camps and competitive programs. It has one of the largest beach volleyball programs for youth in Canada. The club has 40 duos playing on the beach tour this summer in Ontario and also in the USA. This past weekend there were Ontario Volleyball Association sanctioned tournaments at Ashbridge Bay in Toronto and also in Grand Bend Ontario. The medal winners included:

The 15U Scorpions Beach Volleyball Duos of Petersen/Harnack and Mulholland/Trotter went into a OVA Tournament in Hamilton recently and dominated in the 16u Championship Division. Petersen/Harnack won the gold medal and Mulholland/Trotter won the silver medal. Congratulations!
CAMBRIDGE TIMES – Six Scorpions beach volleyball duos won medals this past weekend at various tournaments around North America.
Close to home, at Wasaga Beach, four teams placed in the top three. Chey Oman and Kristen Owen won a gold medal in the under-18 Premier Division, while Elyssa Trotter and Maddi Mulholland also won gold in the under-15 Premier Division. In addition, Tove Petersen and Sara Dyer were bronze medallists in the under-15 Premier Division, and Parveena Padum and Makaila Squires took bronze in the under-12 Premier Division. At Ashbridges Bay in Toronto, Liana Roller and Brianna Banderob won a gold medal in the Challenger Division. On the Florida Beach Volleyball Tour, Jenna Banz and Kayla Gallant won a bronze medal. |
