The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club are very pleased to announce the hiring of USA Volleyball legend Kim Oden to lead the Scorpions Girls Volleyball Camp July 13-17th, 2015 in Cambridge, ON WireService.ca Press Release (03/05/2015) Cambridge, Ontario - The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is continuing to expand the quality of their coaching staff for their summer camps in 2015. The Scorpions Volleyball club has over 500 youth in their summer boys and girls youth volleyball programs. They will be offering 4 volleyball camps in the summer of 2015. Kim Oden has been a pillar in the volleyball community for over 30 years. She has played at the high school, club, NCAA Division 1, Junior National, Olympic, International Overseas Professional and Domestic Professional Beach levels. Kim is one of the most feared and dominant blockers in USA and NCAA volleyball history. After her long-time playing career, she worked in Division 1 women’s college volleyball as an assistant coach for Stanford University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Duke University and Iowa State University. For the past 14 years Kim has worked in the field of high school education. She has served as a guidance counselor, a varsity volleyball coach and as a director of an outreach program for underrepresented students with significant financial need. She will run the Scorpions Girls Volleyball Camp July 13th-17th in Cambridge ON. Her assistant coach for the camp will be her Olympic team mate and Scorpions Coach Janet Cobbs Mulholland.
