Podstawka and Rotrekl Go Gold!

The new adult male beach volleyball duo of Tom Podstawka and Pavel Rotrekl took little time to make their presence known on the Ontario Beach Tour. The duo won Gold in their first tournament of the season.

Tom is a former Canadian Beach Volleyball player and Pavel is a national team beach player from the Czech Republic. Tom also coaches for the Scorpions Volleyball Club.The duo dominated their opponents and did not lose a set all day.

Their much anticipated finals was against two players, Cam Wheelan and Mike Platinga, who are in the national Team Canada beach volleyball program. Unfortuantely Tom and Pavel were not able to play them as Cam and Mike Platinga were forced to pull out of the gold medal match due to muscle cramping that happened during the  match.

Congrat to Tom and Pavel. The future looks very bright indeed for this new beach duo.
